Akshay Kumar contracts COVID-19; assures to be 'Back in action' soon
Mumbai: Acclaimed Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has contracted the novel coronavirus on Sunday and has isolated himself in his home, following all the COVID-19 guidelines.

Akshay took to his official Twitter handle and updated his fans about the health status and also urged those who may have come in contact with him to get themselves tested for Covid-19.
"I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself,” the actor wrote.
He further added, “I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care".
Requesting those who have come in close contact with him, the star wrote, "I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care."

The 53-year old star has been busy shooting for his upcoming film Ram Setu in Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, several Bollywood celebs tested positive for coronavirus including Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwaria Rai Bachchan, Malaika Arora Khan and Arjun Kapoor.
