Nawaz added that, “UK is a democratic republic with a free and fair judicial system”.

London: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in an media talk Saturday said that the Daily Mail’s apology is the proof of their innocence and that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and senior party leader Shahzad Akbar should hang their heads in shame now.
The PML-N chief, who is residing in London since 2019, said that the United Kingdom (UK)'s National Crime Agency (NCA) has already given a 'clean chit' to Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif after due diligence.
Nawaz added that, “UK is not governed by PML-N, PTI or any other Pakistani political party instead it is a democratic republic with a free and fair judicial system”.
Defending his brother Shehbaz Sharif, he said that there cannot be a bigger proof of innocence that the court of such a state has given someone a clean chit.
The former prime minister further said that the statements of former judges Shoukat Siddiqui and Arshad Malik, former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar's audio leak, and the Islamabad High Court's (IHC) withdrawal of the verdict against Maryam Nawaz were proofs of their innocence.
He further added that, “The corruption allegations against Imran Khan have been proven”.
Everyone is aware about the Toshakhana scandal, he mentioned.
Referring to Khan as corrupt person he stated that: "A certified corrupt person is throwing corruption accusations at others who had been proven innocent in national and international courts”.
Proving his innocence, the PML-N leader said that, he was forced to exile after a false hijacking case was registered against him in the 90s, and the elected prime minister of 220 million people was disqualified for not taking payment of 10,000 riyals from his son.
Talking about PML-N government, the leader said until 2017, Pakistan was developing, and inflation was under control.
"The then government improved the country's economy and ended load-shedding in only three years," he added.
He added that they made Pakistan an atomic power.
The PML-N ruler asked the PTI chief to name one project that his government completed.
"PTI only made a faulty metro in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), which is under the investigation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB)", he criticized.
He added that people will be shocked to know about the details of Al-Qadir Trust and the billion tree.
