The SHC bench turned down the plea made by PTI leader.


Karachi: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Shahbaz Gill Thursday moved Sindh High Court (SHC) for an immediate hearing for the petition against the issuance of his arrest warrants in a sedition case, reportedly.
According to details, the SHC bench turned down the plea made by PTI leader stating that only new cases are heard on immediate basis.
The court also directed Shahbaz to file the appeal according to rules and regulations via the rooster branch.
Earlier on December 22, the Islamabad district and sessions court had issued a bailable arrest warrant for Gill in the sedition case.
While issuing the warrant, a single bench comprising Additional Session Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra stated that Shahbaz Gill must appear in the next hearing adding that, “He can obtain the bail against surety bonds of Rs200,000”.
The case had been adjourned till January 6.
