Lahore: In view of rising coronavirus cases in the country, the Punjab government has decided to ban inter-provincial transport two days a week.

According to details, a notification has been issued by Secretary Punjab Provincial Transport Authority to ban inter-provincial transport in Punjab on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
The notification has exempted goods transport along with medical and emergency transport.
The ban will be effective from April 10 and concerned authorities have been directed to take all necessary steps.
The notification has also been sent to all district and regional authorities.
In view of the third wave of corona virus in the country, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to close inter-provincial transport two days a week from April 10.
As per NCOC, the two-day shutdown on inter-provincial transport will be effective from April 10 to 25, while goods, freight, medical and other emergency services have been exempted from the ban.
