Islamabad: A robber was killed while a police officer sustained the injuries during an encounter on Sunday night in the jurisdiction of Karachi Company police station.
The police official stated that three robbers were fleeing after a robbery in sector G-10.
The spokesperson added that police team responded to the robbery complaint. While chasing the robbers in sector G-9/1, they opened the fire at police squad that severely injured security officer Kamran-ud-Din.
“One of the robbers died while the others managed to escape,” he added.
The police official further added that the wounded cop was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) along with the deceased, while a search operation has been started to arrest the other two robbers.
