Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 4,004 new Covid-19 cases and 102 deaths, with authorities linking the uptick in numbers to the third wave of the deadly outbreak across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,004 cases of coronavirus were reported while 102 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 15,026.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 700188.
As many as 620,789 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,769 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 237,594 in the province with 6,731 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 267,238 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,516.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 93,826 in the province with 2,496 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,942 confirmed cases while 212 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 13,713 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 380. On the other hand, there are 5,064 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 62,775 cases in the capital city while 588 people have lost their lives.
