Hoshab: The armed forces of Pakistan killed at least four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Hoshab, Balochistan, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
ISPR stated that an IBO was conducted on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists, to clear a hideaway linked with firing incidents on security forces along M-8, in Talsar, Hoshab.
“With the help of continuous intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) of the area, a location of terrorists was identified and security forces were inserted to attack the terrorists.
It further said that while the forces were taking positions to remove the escape routes, four terrorists attacked the troops.
The attack resulted in heavy exchange of fire and all four terrorists were killed.
A cache of arms and ammunition including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also recovered from them, the ISPR added.
