The development is apparently a massive blow to the PML-N as general elections are scheduled to be held in October this year.

Lahore: Pir Muhammad Amin Ul Hasnat Shah, the former Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader has officially joined Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday.
While addressing a press conference along with the leaders of PTI, Pir Amin Al-Hasnat announced joining Imran’s party.
“With the participation of Pir Hasnat, PTI will be stronger than before in Sargodha,” said Shah Mehmood Qureshi, adding that we will work for the ‘betterment of Pakistan’.
Mr Qureshi further added that his inclusion will further strengthen the party ahead of general elections.
Former federal minister Asad Umar said that: “History-making movement is underway”.
Calling for early polls, PTI leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain reiterated that ‘economic stability is linked to the political stability’.
Along with Pir Amin Ul Hasnat, thousands of followers of Darbar-e-Alia Bhera Sharif have also joined the PTI.
Earlier in the day, turning to Twitter, Fawad Hussain said that Pir Amin Ul Hasnat joining in their party is of “huge significance,” as he (Pir Sahib) and his family have a great influence all over Pakistan— including Sargodha and Rawalpindi Divisions.

It is pertinent to mention here Pir Amin Al Hasanat served as the Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s cabinet. He was also elected Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Constituency NA 64 Sargodha.
Pir Amin Ul Hasnat is the son of Justice Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari, a Sunni Barelvi leader and author of famous Tafseer Tafsir Zia Ul Quran.
The development is apparently a massive blow to the PML-N as general elections are scheduled to be held in October this year.
