The Supreme Judiciary should take notice extradite Fawad immediately, Farrukh stated.


Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice president and former information minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has been arrested by Islamabad Police in the early hours of Wednesday, GNN reported.
The PTI leader Farrukh Habib turned to Twitter and stated that, “Fawad Chaudhry has been arrested by the police from his house,” adding that the imported government is in the state of panic.

In another tweet, Farrukh shared two videos and claimed that the moving vehicles in the video are police vans in which Fawad had been taken after arrest.

Habib also shared anbother video in which he was seen following a police van and he wrote: “After abducting Fawad Chaudhry, the police squad blocked the vehicle so that they could not be chased and Fawad was shifted to an unknown location”.
He added that the Supreme Judiciary of Pakistan should take notice and Fawad should be extradited immediately.

A case was registered against Chaudhry at Kohsar police station in Islamabad in Islamabad on the complaint of Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Umar Hameed.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Police tweeted, “A case was registered against PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on the request of the constitutional body,” adding that on the request of Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), it was registered in Kohsar police station.
Fawad Chaudhry threatened the Chief Election Commissioner and members to prevent them from performing their duties, it stated.
It added that Fawad tried to create violence against the constitutional institutions and inflame the sentiments of the people.
The case is being processed according to law, Islamabad police informed.
