Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi attended the ceremony.


Lahore: The 11-member Punjab caretaker cabinet sworn in on Thursday soon after oath taking ceremony of Kyber Pakhtunkhwa’s interim cabinet.
The oath taking ceremony took place under the administration of governor Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman at Governor House Lahore.
Only eight members including Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, Dr Javed Akram, Dr Jamal Nasir, Bilal Afzal, Ibrahim Murad, SM Tanveer, Amir Mir and Mansoor Qadir took the oath while the other three Tamkinat Mansoor, Wahab Riaz and Naseem Sadiq could not attend the ceremony.
The reason of two members is unknown while Pakistan’s fast bowler Wahab Riaz will take the oath as interim sports minister of Punjab once he is back in the country, he confirmed while talking to a private media channel.
Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi attended the ceremony among other notable personalities.
Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi vowed to ensure the peaceful conduct of transparent, free and fair elections in the most densely populated province of the country.
