Islamabad announces public holiday on Jan 30
The federal capital announced the public holiday for UAE’s president visit.
Islamabad: The administration of Islamabad Saturday announced a local holiday on January 30 (Monday), GNN reported.
According to the notification issued by District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon, all public and private sector educational institutions and offices will remain closed on Monday.
However, the notification is not applicable to essential services, such as police, Capital Development Authority, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, ICT Administration, Islamabad Electric Supply Company, and hospitals.
The holiday will be observed on the account of visit of United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Islamabad on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's invitation.
