Car-motorcycle collision leaves six people dead in Chishtian
The latest reports say that the accident took place due to over-speeding as the ill-fated family was on its way to attend a marriage ceremony.
Bahawalnagar: At least six people died after a speeding car collided with a roadside tree after hitting a motorcycle near Gajiani village in Chishtian Tehsil on Sunday.
The latest reports suggested that the accident took place due to over-speeding.
The rescue sources said that the car first hit the bike and then collided with the tree and as a result six people lost their lives.
The family was going in the car to attend a marriage ceremony. The rescue workers shifted the injured and deceased to a nearby hospital.
Earlier in the day, ten children drowned after a boat carrying tourists capsized in Tanda Dam in Kohat.
Rescuers said that at least 30 people including children were on the boat at the time of the incident.
Efforts are underway to rescue the victims, they added.
