Karachi:  Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ansha Afridi, the daughter of veteran cricketer Shahid Afridi, tied knot in beautiful Nikah ceremony in Karachi on Friday.

The Nikah ceremony was held at Zakaria mosque in Karachi DHA where Shaheen Shah Afridi wrapped in a light grey-silver coat, with sleeves, pocket and embroidery line the neckline, was sitting there to say “Qabool hey” [I accept]. Shahid Afridi was sitting Shaheen’s right side a bit closer to the cleric officiating Nikah. The other relatives were also present there in the ceremony.

The nikah ceremony was followed by reception held at the DHA Golf and Country Club while the teammates of Shaheen Afridi graced the occasion.

Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah and many others were also present there in the reception.

On other hand, the congratulations messages poured in on the social media for Shaheen Afridi over his marriage with Ansha Afridi.

Taking to Twitter, batsman Muhammad Rizwan congratulated Shaheen Shah Afridi through a video message.

He said, “Prayers for you my baby brother @iShaheenAfridi . May you and your wife be the source of happiness and joy for each other, Ameen. #ShaheenShahAfridi,”.

The cricketers are seen embracing Shaheen Shah Afridi and congratulating him on the occasion and the guests stood together for beautiful and memorable photos on the occasion.
