The reports say that anthem will feature Asim Azhar, Shae Gill and Faris Shafi for this year’s season.

Lahore: Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday said that Abdullah Siddiqui composed the anthem for the star-studded line up for this year’s season.
Siddiqui composed the song consecutively for the second year as he took the credit of composing song for PSL 7.
According to the reports, Asim Azhar and Shae Gill would sing the anthem while Faris Shafi was the third singer who would be the part of the ceremony.
The last year’s anthem “Agay Dekh” was made and composed by Siddiqui while Atif Aslam and Aima Baig were also there with him on this task.

According to the latest reports, Ali Sethi, the son of incumbent Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi, was asked to perform in the PSL 8 song but Najam Sethi exercised his powers and revoked the contract in a bid to avoid any controversy.
“Ali won’t be able to sing the anthem,” said Sethi, expressing his disappointment during his press conference last month. The PCB chairman also said that his son had also some concerns about it.
He said they would allow Ali Sethi when he would be not there, adding that his current position did not allow him to be part of any controversy.
It may be mentioned here that Shae and Ali sang Pasoori in Coke Studio season 14 and grabbed huge applause.
Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja hired the Pasoori team to produce the anthem.
PSL 8 will be played from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
