Moazzam Jah has been asked to report back to the Establishment Division.


Peshawar: Akhtar Hayat Gandapur Thursday appointed as new Inspector General Police (IGP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa replacing Moazzam Jah Ansari.
Earlier on January 30, a suicide attack occurred in the mosque of Peshawar Police Lines, after which the federal government decided to replace Muazzam Jah Ansari who had been transferred now.
The Establishment Division was sent a summary of three names for the new IGP, including Muhammad Saeed Khan, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur and Sohail Tajik.
The division issued a notification to appoint Akhtar Hayat Gandapur as the new IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Akhtar Hayat was earlier posted as Additional Deputy Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
As soon as Moazzam Jah leaves the charge, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur will take charge of his post.
