Nowshera: Two terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in an exchange of fire with Police in Misri Banda area of district Nowshera last night (Thursday).
According to Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Mardan Region, the killed terrorists—identified as Muhammad Zeeshan Alias Usman and Salman Alias Amarati— were involved in attacks on security personnel.
Two guns, a hand grenade and a motorcycle were seized from the terrorists. They were wanted by the police in several serious cases.
Meanwhile, the other two or three terrorists managed to flee the scene taking advantage of the darkness.
The CTD and police later launched a search and strike operation to arrest the remaining terrorists.
