The latest reports say that the chicken meat per kilogram is being sold between Rs700 to 705 in many other cities including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.


Karachi: The price of chicken meat per kilogram went up and is being sold at Rs700 in the local markets of Karachi on Sunday.
The latest reports suggested that the price of live check is at Rs500 and the reason behind the hike in price is closure of several poultry businesses owing to shortage of feed.
Other cities including Rawalpindi and Islamabad also witnessed all-time high price of chicken meat as it is being sold at Rs700-705 per kilogram.
In Lahore, however, the chicken per kilogram is being sold between Rs550-600 per kg.
The authorities started investigation into the matter as to why the feed went short which led the price went up.
