Bushra, Asma stun audience by amazing song of ‘Humsaye Maa Jaye’ at PLF 2023
Both the artists, who are also sisters, make interesting expressions following the lyrics of the song targeting cultural similarities of both Pakistan and India.


Lahore: Versatile sisters Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas performed their song ‘Humsaye Maa Jaye’ at Pakistan Literature Festival 2023 on Saturday.
The performance of both the sisters left the audience stunned during the session of Ahmed Bashir Kam Mumba.
Wrapped in beautifully printed white and blue color Saari, Bushra attracted the audience while Asma was wearing the cultural dress for the event at the stage.
Both the artists made interesting expressions on the lyrics of the song targeting socio-political similarities in India and Pakistan. They questioned the bars and hurdles in the ways of the neighboring countries and other conflicts creating long distance between them.

Initially, they performed it in 2019 in a bid to promote harmony and peace between both Pakistan and India by highlighting unity and cultural similarities.
One of the actresses played the role of an Indian woman while the other was performing as Pakistani in the song.
A large number of people were present there to observe and enjoy the beautifully organized Pakistan Literature Festival 2023 at Al-Hamra Hall. Earlier, a number of sessions on different topics like education, economy, art and culture were held at the festival.
