The PTI chief who has addressed the media along with Dr. Yasmin Rashid has expressed serious concerns over phone tapping and violation of privacy rights, saying that Dr. Yasmin is going to court against her phone-tapping.
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid defended her telephonic conversation, saying that CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar was the convener of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing assassination attack on party chairman Imran Khan.
“Our JIT which is real JIT and I asked him when he was going to join it,” said Yasmin Rashid while addressing a press conference along with party chairman Imran Khan on Sunday.
She said that she strongly condemned the tape leaked yesterday.
“I’m going to the court against this phone tapping,” said the PTI leader.

PTI Chief Imran Khan also said that he moved a petition for fair trial to the court four months ago, saying that tapes were leaked on the social media.
“The official line was tapped and my conversation with Azam Khan was recorded, doctored and released twice,” said Imran Khan, saying that he approached the top court against it.
“This is violation of fundamental right. Constitution protects our dignity and privacy. My and my wife’s privacy was violated,” said the former Prime Minister, expressing serious concerns over tapping Prime Minister’s official conversation.
“A tape of Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has been released just for blackmailing,” said the PTI Chairman.
He said that all these efforts were being made for blackmailing and the judiciary was being targeted.
In Pakistan, he said, deep-fake videos were being made for blackmailing.
Imran Khan said that Maryam Nawaz openly said that she had audio tapes.
“Now General Bajwa has said that he has tapes,” said Khan, raising questions that why these audio tapes were being made.
He said that JIT officials were removed and only CCPO Dogar who was heading the JIT was sanding there.
“They are doing all this to remove CCPO Dogar,” said Imran Khan, adding that they posted such officers who were mostly against the PTI.
Yasmin had evidence against Kamyana, the incumbent CCPO, for misusing his powers the day when they launched the movement, he added.
“I once again request the top court for hearing of my plea which I filed four months ago,” Imran Khan appealed to the Supreme Court.
