President will consult legal experts for the absence of the CEC.


Islamabad: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja did not come to meet President Dr. Arif Alvi which was scheduled today (Monday) at 11am.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the elections date for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkwa assemblies. However, president will consult legal experts for the absence of the Chief Election Commissioner.
President kept waiting for the CEC in his office for an hour but he did not come. Therefore, after the appointment, Dr. Arif Alvi resumed his routine work. The name of Sikandar Sultan Raja was also written on the entrance gate of the President's House for the meeting.
After the consultation on Monday morning, the Election Commission took the final decision to not meet the president for elections discussion.
In this regard, the spokesperson of the Election Commission stated that the answer had been given to the President on February 19, and we still have the same position.
