Johannesburg: Pakistan has defeated South Africa by four wickets in a tight race in the first T20 match.

Batting first, the hosts scored 188-6, squandering the strong lead provided by Aiden Markam and Heinrich Klaasen. The duo dispatched nearly all Pakistani bowlers to all the corners of the ground. Mohammad Nawaz and Hassan Ali managed to rein back the run flow, slowing down South Africa in the end.
Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman drove Pakistan close to the target, scoring 74 and 27 each with Fahim Ashraf adding a crucial 30 runs to the chase. The last two overs were tight, with Faheem's departure seemingly tilting the game in South Africa's favour. However, Hassan Ali scored a boundary off Williams to lift the pressure and then steered his side to victory.
