The experienced Sri-Lankan spinner will not be able to play ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League 8 this year.

Karachi: Sri Lanka experienced leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga will not be available for Quetta Gladiators for this year HBL Pakistan Super League 8 as his cricket board refused to issue him No-Objection Certificate.
Quetta Gladiators are locking horns tonight with Lahore Qalandars at Karachi Stadium.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators selected Hasaranga in platinum category. The cricketer was expected to land in Pakistan on Monday but he could not come after its home cricket board did not issue him the NOC.
Wanindu is among the top bowlers of T20 cricket and enjoys number two position in the international ranking just after Rashid Khan in the short format.
Previously, Sri Lankan cricket board also refused to give NOC to Kushal Mendis who was selected by Lahore Qalandars. Later on, LQ selected Shai Hope as replacement of Kushal Mendis.
Gladiators had already lost two matches in the ongoing mega tournament.
Earlier, in a statement Quetta skipper said that “As far as foreigners are concerned, Hasaranga is an important addition to our side. He is the number one spinner in the world, so we selected him as our first pick. If he is available for us from the first game, then it will be really good for us,”
