Sukkur: A district and sessions court Wednesday summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s senior vice president and chief organizer Maryam Nawaz on March 10 for allegedly disrespecting state institutions.

Additional District and Sessions Judge of Sukkur Mumtaz Solangi heard the case filed against Maryam Nawaz and sent her a notice.

The court also summoned Station House Officer (SHO) Model Town, Director and Deputy Director Cybercrime and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur and Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) officers.

District President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sukkur Zaheer Babar had filed a request to register a case against PML-N leader.

The registered application stated that PML-N’s chief organizer spoke against the state institutions in the speech trying to incite and revote the people against the institutions.
