“Imran Khan is done and dusted,” Maryam Nawaz lashed out at PTI Chief

Gujranwala: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz raised up the matter of “Contempt of Court” while lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan in her party convention in Gujranwala on Friday.

She said that whenever she tried to show them [the PTI leaders] their reality she was accused of committing “contempt of court”.

“Contempt of court takes place when the courts summons one and he does not respect its orders,” she said while referring to the PTI Chief’s recent appearance before the Lahore High Court in a bail plea. She was addressing party convention in Gujranwala.

“This ladla shows plaster of his leg whenever he is summoned. But no contempt of court takes place,” said the PML-N senior vice-president.

“Why there was no contempt of court when the daughter of Nawaz Sharif who did not have any public office is sentenced to ten years to jail?,” she raised another question.

She also gave new name to the residence of PTI Chief in Lahore, saying that it is not Zaman Park; it is “Zamanat Park”.

Maryam said that everything single movement of PTI Chief failed and referred to recently launched “Jail Bharo Tehreek”.

Maryam Nawaz said that the PTI’s chief jail Bharo Tehreek failed just because the “leader” was hiding in “Zamanat Park”.

“Do you think such decisions could be of a mentally fit person? Such person [Imran Khan] needs rehabilitation center. The person who is an addict,” she added.

She while asking the audience said that whether the people who took refugee under the flyovers could be given the control of the county.

“Now he asks about increasing rate of dollar after causing huge debts on the county. Now he asks the nation why the national economy collapsed,” said Maryam Nawaz while criticizing the PTI Chief.

“Pakistan is going down just because a conspiracy was done against Nawaz Sharif. The person whom he used to call “Daku [thief] has now been given the big office of his party,” said Maryam.

“The daku is now the president of PTI,” she said.

She stated that Imran Khan held meeting now with the American at his residence despite that he used to speak against the US.

Gujranwala and the whole nation, she said,  is curious as to why such person whose politics failed was being saved.

“I ask the facilitators why you are saving him. He is done and dusted. Why you want to destroy yourself by saving such drowned person?,” said PML-N senior vice-president.

She claimed that the PML-N was now in the field to win the upcoming election.
