Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to inform Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz 10 days prior to the issuance of her arrest warrants over Jati Umra land case.

As per details, LHC conducted the hearing of the bail plea submitted by Maryam Nawaz in the Jati Umra land case and ruled that PML-N vice president could move to the court for bail after getting a notice of the arrest warrants.
Maryam has also appeared in the hearing.
Earlier on March 24, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had approved the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz till April 12 and sought a reply from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
A two-member bench of the high court comprising Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Asjad Javaid Ghural heard the bail petition of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leader in the Jati Umra land case.
After appearing in the high court, Maryam Nawaz addressed media and claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s power and government both are coming to their end.
While referring to NA-75 Daska by-polls win, she further added that people of Daska have retrieved their seat from looters
According to NAB, in 2013, the Sharif family members illegally acquired 3,500 kanals of land in Raiwind in collusion with the district administration and revenue officials.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz has adopted the stance that NAB wants to arrest her on the pressure of the government.
It is pertinent to mention here that Maryam Nawaz was previously summoned by the corruption watchdog on August 11, 2020 over illegal land transfer case.
But the hearing adjourned after a clash erupted between the PML-N workers and police.
