PTI had announced rally today for election campaign.
Lahore: Police have detained several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers on Wednesday from Zaman Park for violating Section 144 in Lahore.
Police have placed water cannons and heavy personnel have been deployed near Zaman Park Canal Road Lahore.
On the other hand, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has started consulting his legal advisors and party leaders on the current situation.
It is pertinent to note that PTI had announced a rally in Lahore today, regarding which the party leader Fawad Hussain Chaudhry said that the rally will be taken out to express solidarity with the constitution and the judiciary.
On the other hand, Punjab Interior Department imposed Section 144 in Lahore. According to the notification issued government, a ban has been imposed on protests, sit-ins and demonstrations in Lahore, which will be implemented from today and will continue for seven days.
The notification stated that the ban had been imposed in view of the poor traffic and security situation in Lahore.
