Rawalpindi: Multan Sultans beat Quetta Gladiators by nine runs at Rawalpindi ground on Sunday night. The Gladiators fought well but they could not make 263 runs--the record high target set by Sultans in tonight fixture.

The Gladiators could make 253 runs while chasing 263-run target.

Sultans made a recod of making the highest scores of the tournament so far as they displayed the batting of  the highest quality. Usman got things underway with a majestic 120 off 43 balls and then then Rizwan continued to find boundaries every over in clash with Gladiators.

The victory in this match is quite important for Quetta Gladiators if they wanted to reach the later stage.  Perhaps, it is the reason that Gladiators won the toss and opted to bowl first against Sultans.

Muhammad Nawaz is leading Quetta in the absence of Sarfraz Ahmed whose finger injury could not recover.
