Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar filed a petition against the implementation of Section 144 in the city in Lahore High Court (LHC), GNN reported.
The petition has requested for the provision of security to the PTI rally, adding that the caretaker government has violated the law by imposing Section 144.
The petition also stated that PTI is being discriminated by allowing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz to hold public processions.
In the petition, it is requested that the notification of implementation of Section 144 in Lahore should be declared null and void.
