A blast during a football match in Hub Tehsil, Lasbela District, Balochistan has injured at least 12 people.

According to details, a powerful explosion injuring dozens of people took place during a football match which was being played in honour of the Police Martyrs in the Allahabad Town area of Hub.

The blast took place in spectators stands.
Police and law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident.
The injured were initially shifted to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub and will be shifted to Karachi after first aid.
Assistant Commissioner Lasbela Lt. (retd) Muhammad Ahmad Zaheer Hospital told the media that two people were injured in the blast but their condition was out of danger.
SSP Lasbela Tariq Elahi also visited the site and described the explosion as an IED blast.
It should be noted that this match was being played in honour of the police martyrs and an explosion took place during the final match of the tournament.
However, Police is carrying further investigation of the incident.
This is not the first time that an explosion has taken place during a football match, but such incidents have taken place before.
In 2015, two suicide bombers tried to attack the football field during a football match in Alizai Tehsil, Kurram Agency, former FATA but were shot dead by security forces.
In 2013, seven people were also killed in an explosion during a football match in the Lyari area of Karachi. The explosives were planted in a motorcycle near the vehicle of provincial minister Javed Nagori, injuring more than a dozen people.
Earlier in 2008, a part of the Nawab Nowruz Khan Football Stadium in Mastung was damaged in an explosion.
At the time of the blast, the then Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani was also watching the match at the stadium, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
