Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday ordered the government to stop broadcasting the distribution of flour and other essential goods as news on media, GNN reported.
Justice Shahid Jamil of LHC heard the petition against the deaths during the distribution of flour and the method of distribution.
The court said that making the poor people stand in line for free essentials violates the human dignity, and if such distribution is publicized, it will fuel the fire.
Justice Shahid declared that the publicity of charity with public funds for the projection of the government is an immoral practice.
Lahore High Court fixed the date of April 11 to hear the case.
