The ECC also accorded approval to the additional financial requirement of 163 million dollars of foreign exchange for Hajj this year.


Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Monday decided that all 72,869 applications received under Regular Hajj Scheme shall be declared successful without balloting.
The decision to this effect was taken at the ECC meeting held in Islamabad today with Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in the chair.
The meeting also approved the modalities for this year's Hajj Scheme.
The ECC also accorded approval to the additional financial requirement of 163 million dollars of foreign exchange for Hajj this year.
Earlier, the Ministry of Religious affairs and Interfaith Harmony presented details on the Hajj Policy-2023, number of applications received under Regular Hajj Scheme, unutilized quota under regular and sponsorship Hajj schemes and financial requirement in the meeting.
