The World Heritage Day is being observed across the globe on Tuesday (today).
This year theme of the day is “History, Significance, and How to Celebrate”.
The day is observed to raise awareness about importance of cultural heritage and how to protect it.
Pakistan is also observing the day. Lahore is one of the important cultural city of the world. There are total 460 historical buildings in the city that reflects the heritage of hundreds of years.
Pakistan is one of the country’s that reflect the cultural values of about 5000 years ago.
Talking to GNN, Director General Walled City Kamran Lashari said that the preservation of historical buildings is not only the responsibility of the institutes but every Pakistani.
