DIG Sukkur shared the suspect that the Jagirani gang has attacked because two dacoits of the gang were killed in an encounter.


Ghotki: Two policemen have been killed as more than a dozen robbers attacked the police check-post in the premises of Gambro police station.
According to police, a group of robbers attacked Panj Mail post of Gambro police station in the suburbs of Ghotki in the dark of night and killed two police officers identified as Ali Gohar Dayo and Ashok Kumar while one officer Aziz Mirani sustained the injuries in the exchange of fire and had been shifted to hospital.
Confirming the incident, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur Javed Jaskani said: “The pursuit of the robbers is underway, while the injured soldier says that his morale is high”.
DIG Sukkur stated that it is suspected that the Jagirani gang has attacked because two dacoits of the Jagirani gang were killed in an encounter a few days back.
According to the injured official, Station House Officer (SHO) Nawab Chachar had asked them to be alert at 1:00am and they also patrol throughout the night, however there was a sudden attack.
Injured Aziz Mirani stated that the bandits were also cursing each other and there were more than a dozen but could not see in the darkness of the night.
