Islamabad: Foreign Secretary Asad Ahmed Khan on Friday held meeting with Sudanese Ambassador and expressed serious concerns about the worsening situation in Khartoum.
The Foreign Secretary hoped that the Sudanese authorities would take all measures to ensure the safety and security of Pakistanis in Sudan. Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad M. Khan met Sudanese Amb Salih Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Siddig to convey concern about the deteriorating situation in Sudan.

Earlier, Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan held an online coordination meeting with their missions in Khartoum and surrounding countries on the situation in Sudan.
He said that the Government is working with partner countries to ensure the safety and security of Pakistanis in Sudan, including the option of evacuation.

Pakistani embassy came under attack earlier this week in Sudan as three bullets hit the building in the ongoing war between the para military forces and the military.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto took to Twitter and expressed serious concerns over the worsening situation in Sudan.
He tweeted, “We are closely following the worrying situation in Sudan. The safety & security of Pakistanis living in the country remains our top priority. ?? Emb. in Khartoum is in constant touch with Pakistanis in ??. I’ve directed the Amb. to extend every possible help to all those in need,”.
