Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan reshuffled his cabinet on Friday and has decided to appoint Shaukat Tareen as the new finance minister.

According to details, Tareen has replaced federal minister Hammad Azhar, who was appointed the finance minister a few weeks ago replacing Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
Hammad Azhar has been appointed as the Minister for Energy, replacing Omar Ayub and Khusro Bakhtiar has been appointed the Minister for Industries and Production. Omar Ayub has been appointed as Minister for Economic Affairs, replacing Khusro Bakhtiar
Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has replaced Shibli Faraz as information minister while Shibli Faraz has taken charge of science and technology ministry.
Last month, Senator Shibli Faraz had said that Prime Minister Imran had intentions of reshuffling the cabinet as he wanted to bring in the new team.
"When a new individual comes along, they come up with new ideas," Faraz had said.
