Dozens of suspects detained for destruction of state property in Mardan.
Mardan: The Mardan police have successfully arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism of Captain Karnal Sher Khan's statue, a prominent figure known as the 'hero of Kargil.'
The incident occurred on May 9, sparking outrage and concern among the public.
According to a statement issued by SP Operations Rohan Zeb Khan, law enforcement officials have not only apprehended the primary suspect responsible for the statue's defacement but have also detained 117 other individuals involved in damaging state property.
The police are actively investigating the case to determine the motive behind the act of vandalism.
Additionally, authorities have taken action against 80 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, arresting them under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance.
