Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 149 deaths in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 6,127 cases of coronavirus were reported while 149 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 16,243.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 756,285.
As many as 659,483 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,446 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 267,572 in the province with 7,430 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 272,197 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,551.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 105,438 in the province with 2,867 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 20,822 confirmed cases while 223 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 15,524 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 433. On the other hand, there are 5,176 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 69,556 cases in the capital city while 636 people have lost their lives.
