Daughter died after father burns her in the name of honor

Jhang: A father allegedly burned his daughter alive in the name of honor in Basti Dub of Jhang.

According to police, the daughter identified as Masooma Bibi was allegedly set on fire by the father along with other sons and daughters using petrol.

The police stated that Masooma was shifted to the hospital in an injured condition, where she gave a conflicting statement that she was burnt alive by her father and siblings.

After the conflicting statement, the girl could not sustained the injuries and breathe her last.

However, police arrested six accused including the father and registered a case against them.
