Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, has strongly criticized Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, accusing him of attempting to terrorize the nation by unveiling a fabricated plot against women. Imran Khan alleges that this plot was orchestrated to divert attention from impending media reports exposing distressing incidents.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the former prime minister shared a video clip from Rana Sanaullah's press conference, where the minister claimed to have intercepted a phone call discussing a conspiracy to stage a rape incident and falsely implicate law enforcement officials, aiming to gain international support against alleged human rights violations.

Imran Khan wrote, “If there were any doubts about women being mistreated in jails, this press conference from this certified criminal should remove all such doubts.  He is so obviously trying to cover up and preempt the horror stories about to break in the media.

Women have never been so mistreated and harassed by the state as they have been by this fascist govt when they were exercising their right to protest peacefully,”.

Rana Sanaullah's Press Conference:

During a press conference held around midnight on Saturday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan alleged that the PTI had conspired to bring attention to human rights violations in Pakistan on a global scale. Sanaullah claimed that the plan involved a staged raid at the house of a PTI party worker, featuring a simulated rape and casualties resulting from gunfire.

According to the minister, intelligence agencies intercepted a call discussing the plot, which aimed to kill a PTI worker during the staged raid. Sanaullah further revealed that the conspirators intended to carry out the alleged rape on the same night.

Sanaullah emphasized that his late-night televised address aimed to promptly alert the nation about the malicious intentions of those involved in the plot. He reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that those responsible for the events on May 9 would face justice.

Raid on the houses of Omar Ayub, Shahzad Akbar:

Imran Khan also condemned the raids conducted on the houses of PTI leaders Omar Ayub and Shahzad Akbar late on Saturday night. In a separate tweet, he expressed concern about the deteriorating state of affairs, including violations of the constitution, open disregard for court decisions, unwarranted home invasions, media censorship, and a lack of protection for fundamental rights.
