According to rumours, the company has started production of its 11th generation Honda Civic this week and it will be introduced on April 28.

As per the company, it will be the most advanced model of Civic in its 50-year history. The design of the car takes into account the fact that the driver enjoys driving it.

The sedan version of the 11th generation Civic will go on sale in summer this year, and the hatchback will be launched a few months after that.

The new sporty design for the car has been adopted while the features of the previous design have also been retained.

Other features of the car have not been revealed, but the sedan will be accompanied by the production of the Civic hatchback. The hatchback will be manufactured in the United States for the first time in the company's history and will be available to consumers sometime in 2021.

The all-new Civic will be offered with two engine choices — a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine; and a more powerful turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder one. The report also claims that the 6-speed manual gears will only be reserved for the Si and Type-R performance variants.

Keep in mind that Honda's 10th generation Civic is 5 years old and now a new version is being introduced. The prototype model of the 11th generation Civic was unveiled in November 2020.

It will be available in sedan and hatchback formats and will be a modified version of the existing Civic platform, according to the company.

According to the company, although it looks longer and wider, it will be just an inch longer overall. The design of the new Civic is simple and clean, giving a light body look that is inspired by the original Civic.

The biggest change in Civic will be its surface, especially the sides of the car.

In the new Civic, there is a line going from the headlight to the taillight and one line is under the wheels and that's it. The LED light has been shortened to give a sense of openness despite the thin grille, and the chrome unibrow in the grill is now being removed.

The backlight is larger and has a more traditional design, which is different from the current Civic lights or let's say simpler. For the first time in the 11th generation Civic, a digital gauge cluster is being offered while the central touch screen will also be the largest.

The base price of the 11th generation Civic will reportedly be $22,245, which correlates to just over Rs3.4 million.

It usually takes the newer models a year or two to reach Pakistan after being launched in the international market, which is why Pakistanis may not see the new Civic on the roads here until late 2022 or early 2023.
