Karachi: The price of gold witnessed a significant increase of Rs4,000 per tola on Friday, reaching a new high of Rs233,000 for the precious metal.
This surge in gold prices followed the upward trend observed in the international market. The price of 24 carat gold rose by Rs4,000 per tola, closing at Rs233,000, while the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold increased by Rs3,429 to settle at Rs199,760, as reported by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
In the international market, the price of gold experienced a rise of $8, reaching $1,975 per ounce.
On the other hand, the price of silver remained unchanged at Rs2,800 per tola and Rs2,400.54 per 10 grams, respectively.
