Soldier martyred in South Waziristan clash: ISPR

The military’s media wing says  own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

Soldier martyred in South Waziristan clash: ISPR

Rawalpindi:  Due to exchange of fire with terrorists in general area Ladha, South Waziristan Tribal District, Lance Naik Muhammad Sabir, resident of District Mansehra having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.

According to the ISPR, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

On Sunday, the ISPR said that two soldiers were martyred while two militants were killed during a firefight in North Waziristan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the ISPR statement, the incident occurred on June 3 when there was an exchange of fire between Pakistani troops and terrorists in North Waziristan. The troops effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of two militants, while two others sustained injuries.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Naek Zaheer Abbas, 38 years old and a resident of Khushab district, and Lance Naik Mairajuddin, 23 years old and a resident of Dera Ismail Khan district.

The ISPR mentioned that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, and the area is currently being sanitized to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
