Linda Yaccarino prepares to take the reins as Twitter's new CEO, succeeding Elon Musk.

California: Former NBC Universal marketing executive Linda Yaccarino is gearing up to assume the role of CEO at Twitter, succeeding Elon Musk, who recently announced her hiring for the top position on the social media platform.
Yaccarino took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the hiring of Joe Benarroch, NBCU's former senior vice president of communications for advertising and partnerships, who will join her at Twitter, focusing on business operations.
With a tweet captioned "Let's get to work @Twitter! #timetofly," Yaccarino hinted at starting her new job soon.
She also shared a photo of the New York skyline, teasing the Bay Area views that await her in San Francisco, where Twitter is headquartered.
According to sources familiar with the matter cited by The New York Times and The Information, Yaccarino is expected to officially commence her role as Twitter CEO on Monday.
Twitter did not provide a comment when approached.
