Two planes ‘almost collided’ at airport
Two planes are involved in a collision at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
Tokyo: According to Japanese public broadcaster NHK, two passenger planes are believed to have collided with other.
The incident was reported to be held on Saturday morning at Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
As reported by NHK, EVA Air and Thai Airways were involved in this incident at the taxiway around 11 am.
Tokyo Aviation Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) is currently working to confirm the details of the situation.
There were a total of 207 passengers and crew on board the EVA Air plane, while the Thai Airways flight carried 264 passengers.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
As a result of the incident, the runway near the location of the two aircraft has been suspended, leaving only three operational runways.
NHK's airport video footage reveals a portion of one of the Thai aircraft's wings missing and debris scattered on the runway.
Aviation staff is shown in the video working to clean up the debris.
