Model dies after iron pillar falls on her during ramp walk at Noida fashion show
A case has been registered, and the body of Vanshika Chopra has been sent for post-mortem examination.


Noida: A devastating incident unfolded during a fashion show in a studio located in Noida's Film City area, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old model and severe injuries to a young man.
The tragedy occurred when a lighting truss, an iron pillar, fell on them while they were walking the ramp, according to the police statement on Sunday.
Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene and immediately rushed the injured man, identified as Bobby Raj, to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The deceased model, Vanshika Chopra, and Bobby Raj were both participants in the fashion show, which took place around 1:30 pm. The police conducted inquiries with the organizers of the show and the individual responsible for installing the lighting truss. A case has been registered, and the body of Vanshika Chopra has been sent for post-mortem examination.
The families of the victims have been informed of the tragic incident, and the investigation is currently underway, stated Noida Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Shakti Awasthi.
He added, "Vanshika Chopra's demise was a result of the falling truss during the fashion show at the Film City studio. The panchnama of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination. Further action is being taken."
