Barkhan: At least two individuals lost their lives in an explosion near Hun Nadi in the Barkhan district of Balochistan, as confirmed by Levies officials on Tuesday morning.
This incident follows a previous explosion on February 6 in Barkhan, which resulted in five fatalities and numerous injuries.
The blast took place outside a barbershop at the Rakhni market during the morning hours when local residents were engaged in shopping activities.
Four individuals were martyred, while over 20 others, including a woman and a five-year-old girl, sustained injuries.
The injured individuals were swiftly transported to hospitals in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Regrettably, one of the injured victims succumbed to their injuries during medical treatment, raising the death toll to five.
Abdullah Khoso, the Deputy Commissioner of Barkhan, revealed that the blast occurred when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle detonated.
