Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday granted a timeline of 10 days to police for the recovery of senior anchorperson and journalist Imran Riaz Khan, GNN reported.
According to details, LHC Chief Justice Ameer Bhatti heard the case at the petition file by Imran Riaz’s father in the presence of journalist’s laywer Mian Ali Ashfaq.
The lawyer told in the court that they met the working committee of the police and only demanded the recovery of anchorperson Imran.
Justice Ameer inquired if they are satisfied with the efforts of working committee. To which the lawyer responded that the committee is making its efforts and it seems like they are moving in the right direction.
Ameer Bhatti also remarked: “We pray for the recovery of Imran Riaz and are also making efforts for it”.
Court granted 10 days to police officials to speed up their efforts for the recovery of journalist Imran and directed them to present its report in the next hearing.
