Rainfall submerges Lahore, over 100 mm recorded
More than 100-millimeter rain is recorded in different areas of Lahore.
Lahore: In the aftermath of a cyclone weather spell, Lahore has experienced an unprecedented deluge, with more than 100 millimeters of rain recorded in various parts of the city.
The downpour has led to severe flooding in multiple low-lying areas, and the drainage issues continue.
Qurtaba Chowk emerged as the hardest-hit area, receiving 15mm of rainfall.
Following closely behind, Pani Wala Talab and Lakshmi Chowk reported 108 mm and 104 mm of rain, respectively.
Additional areas were also significantly impacted, with Jail Road and the Airport recording 71 mm each, Tajpura at 70 mm, Mughalpura at 65 mm, Gulshan Ravi at 62 mm, and Uppermall at 61 mm.
