The meeting touched regional issues, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to promoting peace.


Islamabad: Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP), in Strasbourg.
During the meeting, Minister Hina Rabbani Khar expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and the EU based on the Strategic Engagement Plan.
Hina referred to their previous meeting on May 13, which took place on the sidelines of the second EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Stockholm.
The minister highlighted Pakistan's engagement with European institutions in various initiatives, including the Global Gateway Strategy with a focus on green energy and blue economies.
She expressed the desire to further enhance mutual engagement between the EU and Pakistan, particularly in the area of legal pathways to migration, while addressing the EU's concerns on readmission.
