Ruet-i-Hilal Committee meeting scheduled in Karachi on June 19


Karachi: The meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee is scheduled on June 19 in Karachi for moon-sighting of Zilhaj.
Chairman Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting, which will take place at the Pakistan Meteorological Department office in Karachi.
Simultaneously, other zonal committees in Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad will also meet to determine the sighting of the Zilhaj moon.
The final announcement of Eid-ul-Azha will be made by the committee after the meeting.
As per the information given by the Climate Data Processing Center (CDPC), it is being expected that the Zilhaj moon will be visible in Pakistan on June 19, with Eidul Azha likely to be celebrated on June 29 (Thursday).
The CDPC report states that the Zilhaj moon is expected to be born at 9:37 pm on June 18.
It is highly likely that Zilhaj will start from June 20 but the final decision will be announced by the committee.
